Pros and Cons of Supranationalism #3

I always thought of supranationalism as a positive thing but this course has made me realize but sides of the spectrum.  Obviously it is a good thing because it helps bring States together to help aid others but by this happening it can make one State lose their cultural identity.  Another pro point for supranationalism is that if there is ever a problem there is the benefit of joint military cooperation but even with something like this it can make one State’s issues become another State’s issues as well.  Another benefit may be the benefit of shared border responsibilities.  Some say that supranationalism is undemocratic and may restrict sovereignty which would defiantly be a negative aspect of supranationalism.   Another negative side of this would be that some States may receive unequal costs and may also get unequal benefits which may result in issues.  Although I still believe that the pros of supranationalism outweigh the cons this debate did help me realize all the negatives that supranationalism did cause.
